Baby Proofing o Make sure crib slats are no more than 2 3/8” apart (use a soda can to measure) o Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors o Baby Monitor o Window Guards o Baby gates o Outlet Covers o Toilet Latches o Doorknob guards o Stove knob covers and stove-top shield o Padding for sharp corners o Fireplace guards o Drapery and Blind Cord Wind-Ups -keep cords out of reach (do not put a crib or changer within reach) o Remove potentially dangerous household plants o Cabinet Locks o TV/DVD/VCR guards o Set water heater at 120 degrees Fahrenheit or less o Furniture safety straps or anchors
