About GreenPea Baby

GreenPea Baby & Child is a children's boutique located just outside Raleigh, NC in the beautiful city of Apex.  We started in 2008 out of the desire to create a better shopping experience for parents.  As parents ourselves we remember how it felt to enter into the baby world.  What started out to be an exciting time, quickly turned stressful as we walked through aisles of products stacked to the ceiling not knowing what to buy or what we needed.  We looked online, read reviews and listened to friends and family.  Not thrilled with the "big box" experience, we tried out some baby boutiques.  Although the customer service was better, they all seemed overpriced and lets just say, a bit snooty.  We were completely overwhelmed!  We knew that there had to be a better way.

At GreenPea Baby & Child, our philosophy is based on these three principles: 

 

Be unique.  Lets face it, you see the same things everywhere you go these days.  At GreenPea Baby & Child, we guarantee that you won’t find ordinary here.  We search the market for the most unique baby gift ideas, the cutest outfits and the most innovative, mom must-haves.  Because we have a real brick and mortar store, you will find lots of products that you won't find on internet only sites and many products that the big guys don't carry.  Nursery and children's room design is our specialty and we love helping parents create unique and functional rooms for their little ones.  From custom bedding and window treatments to quality furniture in every color under the sun, you will find the products and design assistance you need to create your one-of-a-kind room. 

 

Be healthy.  We believe that all parents want the best for their baby.  So we created a store that carries the most innovative and stylish products without sacrificing health.  We don't overwhelm parents with products that they don't need but select quality products that we know work.  We believe that life is about balance and choosing healthier options where they matter most. So although we are not a completely organic store (every little girl needs a pair of ruffled bloomers), we do believe that there are areas where organic and healthier options are the best choice.  For us those areas include;  skincare, mattresses, toys, cloth diapers and teething products.  Our product selections are always done with health and safety in mind and we support Made in the USA products whenever possible.  Just look for the flag in the product description. 

 

Be happy.   Having a baby is one of the most exciting times in your life and it can also be very stressful.  Walls stacked with products and internet sites filled with contradictory information can send parents in a tailspin.  We like to put the fun back in shopping for baby.  We call it Baby Simplified®, because getting ready for baby shouldn’t be so hard.  We provide a warm, welcoming environment where parents can shop and learn.  So when it comes to getting sized for a nursing bra, designing your nursery, learning how to cloth diaper or when you need help choosing the right product for your needs, you will find a well-trained, friendly staff ready to help you with the utmost care and discretion.
